Mr Al Sheikh is a 31-year-old UAE National who joined Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority in April 2006 as an event planning officer. In his tenure with the authority, Mr Al Sheikh has been involved in the full gamut of planning and staging some of the emirate’s most prestigious leisure, sports and culture events from initial research to final delivery. These have included: the Al Ain Aerobatics Show; the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship for which Mr Al Sheikh now sits on the steering committee; the Red Bull Air Race, the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge and Summer in Abu Dhabi festival.

Mr Al Sheikh is now the authority’s Event Manager and is involved in virtually all the activities in ADTA’s now expansive and world-class events portfolio.

Mr Al Sheikh, a graduate of the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology where he majored in Information Systems, worked in the education sector prior to joining ADTA.
